Zach Holland threw a new lifetime best, a new school record, as well as new junior college national record of 78.80m/258'6 to finish 2nd overall at the Texas Relays, beating out all NCAA D1 athletes and finishing just feet behind the first place finisher at the US Olympic Trials. It is the second furthest throw in the United States this year, and rnaks him #16 in the world. The throw also meets the Olympic Trials/USA Championships standards.
"Zach just accomplished something very special this past weekend. It's not every day you get to have a national record holder on the team. He works very hard at his craft, and it is great to see it pay off," said Head Coach Alan King.
