Jadyn Vermillion won the women's triple jump competition, finished 2nd in the 100m, and finished 6th in the long jump at the LCC Open. While her jumps were not personal bests, she did run a new collegiate best and school record in the 100m. Vermillion's win in triple jump was impressive because she sprained her ankle in the action of jumping and only took two jumps.

"I am really pleased with the progression Jadyn is making this season. All of her hard work in the weight room and on improving her technique this pre-season is evident, and I am confident she will continue improving throughout the season," said Head Coach Alan King.
