The cross country teams competed at the George Oja Invitation hosted by Linfield University. Analise Miller led the ladies with a new personal best of 23:07 in the 6k with a finish 101 out of 352 runners. Miller finished as the 7th junior college athlete in the meet and her time broke the school record. Three of the five ladies set personal records on the day to finish 29 out of 38 teams. Next week the women will be racing full strength at the Southern Region Championships. It will be the first time this season that the RiverHawks will race the entire team together. 

On the men's side, all seven runners ran personal bests to finish 27 out of 35 teams. Leading the way for RiverHawks for the second meet in the row was Seth Rincon. Rincon's 26:03 placed 137 overall and moved him second on UCC's top 10 list. Following closely was John Patterson with a 26:13 (150th), and Viggo Beck with a time of 26:39 (168th). Patterson moved to #3 while Beck moved into the #4 spot on the RiverHawk top 10 list. 

Up next for the team will be the South Region Championships on October 24 at the Pine Ridge Golf Course in Springfield, OR. The women start at noon with the men racing at 1:30pm.
