Yessenia is from Nampa Idaho, she attended Columbia High School.  While as an athlete there she earned honorable mention at the 4A level in 2018,2019,2020, most athletic and most improved as a freshman.  She came to Umpqua to be a part of a 1st year soccer program, while here she helped the Riverhawks get the 1st win in program history.  Yessenia is here studying elementary education and hopes to teach kids at a dual language school.   Some of her hobbies include hiking, dancing, spending time with her family, and helping children with school. Her favorite professional athlete is Hector Moreno.  Her favorite coach is Josh Lane, because he treated all the members on her team as equals and was a fun coach who helped her team go undefeated on the season.
