The Umpqua Community College Women’s Obstacle Course Racing program is excited to announce the signing of Sutherlin High School’s Sydney Miele. Miele is a 2017 Sutherlin High School graduate that played tennis and was a member of the cheer squad during her time as a Bulldog. In addition, she served as the Senior Class President.
Head RiverHawk Women’s OCR Coach Andrea Bowden had this to say about the addition of Miele, “We are fired up to have another person excited about our sport and becoming a member of our new program. Sydney is a good athlete and will compete well for us.”
The RiverHawk Obstacle Course Racing team is the first of its kind, in the country. They will begin competition on the Roseburg, Oregon campus in the fall of 2017.
