Christopher “CJ” Kozlowski comes from Gillette College, in Gillette, Wyoming. In 9 years as the Head Coach for the Pronghorns, his teams have earned countless awards for cross country, the half marathon, indoor track, and outdoor track. Kozlowski’s team finished in the top five nationally 13 times, including winning the 2015 NJCAA Women’s Half Marathon National Championship. The Pronghorns have finished in the Top 10 nationally, a total of 26 times.

In the 9 years since starting the program at Gillette, Kozlowski had coached 111 All-American athletes, 7 National Champions, and has been the NJCAA Region IX Coach of the Year six different times.  In 2016 Kozlowski coached the USTFCCCA Indoor and Outdoor Track National Athlete of the Year, Festus Lagat.

Kozlowski has also had tremendous academic successes with his athletes. His Gillette teams were awarded the NJCAA Academic Team of the Year a total of five times. Kozlowski’s athletes also took home a combined 51 Academic All-American individual awards.

Prior to Gillette College, Kozlowski spent time coaching in South Carolina with stints at Gaffney High School, Chester High School, and as an assistant at Limestone College.

Coach Kozlowski's running career started at Limestone College. He was a two time academic all-conference runner for the Saints. He also was a member of Limestone’s Division 2 National Runner-Up Lacrosse teams in 2004 and 2005.

Kozlowski is originally from Syracuse, New York. He completed his bachelor's degree in history and education at Limestone College in 2006, and received his master's degree in sports management in 2010. He is married to Maggie, who is originally from Newberg, Oregon, and the couple has one child, Hadrian.
