Umpqua Community College Men’s Cross Country is excited to announce the addition of Cooper Lee and Steele Leavey, from Roseburg, Oregon. Leavey and Lee are 2017 graduates of Roseburg High School, where they competed in cross country for the Indians.
They will be joining their fellow Roseburg graduates Emma and Wayne Jaworski, Rachael Brock, and Jenna Anderson, who are all part of the UCC Cross Country program.
Head RiverHawk Cross Country Coach CJ Kozlowski had this to say about the signing of Lee and Leavey,” Cooper and Steele each have the ability to contribute right away and their ceiling is high. They have good capacities to work and put in mileage, as well as a love for running. We are looking forward to adding these talented, local runners to our new program.”
The RiverHawk Cross Country team is returning to the Roseburg, Oregon campus and will begin competition in the fall of 2017.
Umpqua’s Department of Athletics is composed of nine varsity sports teams including four men's teams (basketball, cross country, wrestling and obstacle course racing), and five women's teams (basketball, cross country, volleyball, wrestling and obstacle course racing).
